Reporting to the Administrative Supervisor, the Administrative Assistant assists Albertans accessing the Resource Center in person and by telephone. This position supports Albertans in navigating through the Alberta Works and Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH) programs and services including the Income Support, Child Support Services (CSS), Career and Employment Information Services (CEIS) and information on local community resources. Individual client situations are assessed to determine that the Albertan is applying for the appropriate programs in Alberta.
The position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, critical thinking and strong organizational skills. Working independently on and off site, this position is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative services to support the effective and efficient operation of the programs in person, remotely and by phone.
