Located in Vancouver’s West End, the 218 residents of Haro Park come from every imaginable walk of life. As an organization we exist to ensure that our residents experience a life at Haro Park that they may have not thought possible. Our home includes independent and assisted living suites as well as complex care suites for those who need 24/7 assurance and support.

About the Role
As an RN or RPN in a resident directed care home, you evaluate residents’ care needs by assessing residents on admission; develop appropriate nursing care plans along with the Interdisciplinary Team; carry out orders specified in the care plan and administer direct nursing care; receive physicians’ orders and arrange for treatments, medications and other therapeutic services; dispense medications to residents; maintain unit records and residents’ charts; and guide clinical experience of other nursing staff and students. It’s a HUGE and worthwhile way to support the family of residents who live at Haro Park.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
Your Education and Experience Should Look like This
Graduation from a recognized program with a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Current full practicing licensure with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Two years recent, related experience in gerontological nursing
- Current CPR-C.
Skills & Abilities
- Sensitivity and a passion for meeting the needs of older adults and an ability to interact with residents, families and members of the community.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to carry out duties of the position.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
